ISLAMABAD - The Islamabad High Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition regarding Pakistanis stranded in Iran due to coronavirus outbreak.   A bench headed by Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the petition seeking order to bring back citizens from Iran.Declaring the petition inadmissible, the chief justice asked the petitioner to approach the relevant forum as there is parliament in the country. The judge remarked that the court could not intervene in these matters and barred people from assuming that the government was doing nothing. “Have you contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the chief justice questioned the petitioner. ISLAMABAD - The Air Transport fleet of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has been assigned the onerous responsibility to Airlift medical equipment and relief goods from the People’s Republic of China to help fight COVID-19 pandemic in Pakistan. In this regard a PAF IL- 78 aircraft laden with 14 tonnes of cargo comprising ventilators N95 masks and protective gear landed at PAF Base Nur Khan early in the morning on Sunday, a PAF press release said.This is one of the many relief flights undertaken by PAF in the past couple of months. These sorties also include the ones flown to COVID hit the Chinese City of Wuhan, earlier this year During these relief sorties tonnes of medical supplies were airlifted by PAF aircraft.

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) led federal government has launched Corona Helpline on Whatsapp. People can get all corona related information on latest statistics and nearest labs by sending a message writing 'Hi' at 00923001111166. Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan announced establishment of Corona Relief Tiger Force that will work in collaboration with civil administration and army to contain the spread of corona virus. The registration process for the 'Corona Relief Tigers Force' would start from Tuesday (today) and to be continued till April 10. The youth from across the country was eligible to be the part of the 'Corona Relief Tigers Force' and could register them through the Pakistan Citizen Portal.

ISLAMABAD - The confirmed Coronavirus infection cases in the country have reached to 1717.According to media etails, these include 628 cases in Punjab, 535 in Sindh, 217 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 152 in Balochistan, 51 in Islamabad, 128 in Gilgit Baltistan and six cases in Azad Kashmir. 20 deaths have been reported from the disease so far while 57 patients have recovered. 11 patients were said to be in critical condition. Earlier on Monday Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the nation to get united to make the fight against coronavirus successful. In his address to the nation, the Prime Minister said the world is fighting against the coronavirus according to their capacity. He said the only country that has remained successful so far in this struggle is China that put 20 million people under lockdown to overcome the killer bug.
